Estimator
Aidan Bannon, 24 from Manchester, joined Russells Construction as a trainee estimator in 2004. Through the company he undertook a degree course at Salford University, studying part time over five years and graduating in 2009 with a BSc (Hons) Construction Project Management.
"When I started as a trainee I was shadowing more senior estimators and assisting them on larger projects. I gradually took on more responsibility as my university course progressed as I was able to draw on both my classroom learning and the on-the-job experience I gained at Russells."

"I've had the opportunity to work on some interesting projects in a range of different sectors, such as the Caspian House office refurbishment and the Eastbank residential regeneration scheme in Ancoats, and the company has always been enthusiastic about supporting me in my professional development."
"My ambition now is to work towards my chartered RICS status and work my way up the ladder and long term my goal is to take on project management of large scale projects. Working here has given me the opportunity to work closely with an experienced team and gain first hand experience on a variety of construction projects in different sectors, along with the responsibility to deal with some very prestigious clients." |
